Some of Telangana Amaraveerulu Died in 2009 Movement

K. Srikantha Chary, who had studied Physiotherapy course in ISO Junior college,Tarnaka, became an active activist in LB Nagar area. Shocked by the arrest of KCR on 29th Nov 2009. Srikanth dowsed himself with Kerosine and set ablaze.

He belongs to Mothkur mandal of Nalgonda Dist, but was living in Chaitanyapuri. When Kamineni Hospital refused him treatment., he was rushes to Appolo Hospital with 71% burns.Later he died on 3rd Dec. in hospital, before taking his body to native village, TRS activists and student organized funeral procession in Hyd and was placed at Gunpark Martyrs stupa for a while before performing last rites.

A MCA student K Venugopal Reddy (23), reportedly depressed over the delay in formation of separate Telangana state set himself ablaze at the Osmania University (OU) campus OU . The charred body of K Venugopal Reddy (23), an MCA student of a private college, was found near Tagore Auditorium in the OU premises.

The protesting students did not allow the police to lift Venugopal's body from the spot and insisted on conducting post-mortem from where the body was found after which the authorities were forced to conduct the autopsy in the University campus.

A suicide note purportedly written by Venugopal was recovered from the scene in which he demanded the United Progressive Alliance leaders to immediately initiate measures towards formation of Telangana state.

In the letter written in Telugu, Venugopal allegedly said he was resorting to the extreme step over delay in formation of Telangana.

A Venugopal, a native of Nalgonda district, was an active member of separate Telangana movement and participated in a series of agitations that began from November 30th ,2009.Expressing deep sorrow over the death of Venugopal, Osmania University Vice-Chancellor T Tirupati Rao, termed it as "unfortunate" and appealed the students not to resort to extreme steps.

while atleast 10 students ended their lives in support of separate state for the region.

As his hands were completely burnt, Anelli Shekar Reddy had to use his toe to put the impression on his dying declaration that said he had taken the drastic step in support of a separate Telangana.
